The most boring champions in history (50 posts)
by ianeharvey@whateveridontreadit.com - Last post on: 02-17-05 12:08
If as expected Chelsea go on to win the league this season they'll have done it on the back of their defense. With Robben their offense is okay, without it they are reliant on a clean sheet. Aside from George Graham does anybody not think that Chelsea will be the most boring team ever to win the championship? Let's face it, b deserves a big pat on the back for watching that dull shite ev... Full Discussion

No English players lining up for Arsenal.... (49 posts)

Typical of Wenger. Even Jose Mourinho was recently going on about the importance of making sure teams have a respectable English contingent in them. It'll be through the likes of Wenger that FIFA will introduce regulations on this. And so they should....it makes a mockery of 'English' football. ... Full Discussion

Any chance we'll see Lucas back in action soon seen as he managed over 45 minutes last night in the Tsunami game Ronaldinho World XI v Shevchenko Euro XI? Also, how stingy are Chelsea and Man U not even letting any of their stars go and play in the game? Other big clubs who have important matches in the next few days allowed their players to go. It could be that we can't afford the top 'English' players over the last few seasons owing to our committment to forgo glory this year, and build a stadium to enable more 'English' fans to watch our games. If you're going to compete at the top, you need to build the best team with the funds available. How much was Rooney, Rio, Bridge, Smith etc? If Cole and Campbell had been fit, there...
